Names Just For The Fun Of It.

Important note. I did these names just for the enjoyment of it. However there was some confession on my part. In the book I got this information from they talked about those that graduated, but these names were under enrollments. So the date I have given is either the date that they graduated or Enrolled.

William Crosby Dawson.
Residence Greenboro Georgia, born Georgia 1798, married Henrietta M. Wingfield. He was a Lawyer, member of Leg., State Senator, member of Congress from 1836-1842. Was a United States Senator from 1847-1855, was Judge Superior Court. Trustee of the University of Georgia and a Alumni, enrolled 1816, died 1856.

Thomas Anderson Watkins.
Residence Austin Texas, born Georgia 1803. Married Sarah Fitzgerald. Was a M. D. at the University of Pennsylvania, was a Physician. He enrolled at the University of Georgia in 1824, and passed away in 1890.

John J. Hunt.
Residence Marietta Georgia. Born in Georgia 1810, married Sarah L. Wall. He was a Teacher and Episcopal Minister. Enrolled in the University of Georgia 1825.

Charles Henry Dupont.
Residence Quincy Florida, born South Carolina 1805. Married Mary Ann Hobson. He was Judge Superior Court of Florida, Assoc. Justice and Chief Justice Supreme Court. He was a Captain of the Florida Volunteers in the Seminole War. Enrolled in the University of Georgia 1826.

Robert Alexander Ware.
Residence Columbus Georgia, born Georgia 1807, Married Margaret C. Ellison. He was a Physician. He was a Captain the Georgia Volunteers, during the Indian War, 1836. He was a Presbyterian elder. He enrolled in the University of Georgia in 1827, died in 1893.

Thomas E. Blackshear.
Residence Thomasville Georgia, born Georgia 1807. Married Emily G. Raine. He was a Planter and a member of the Legislators. He was a Major General in the State Militia. He enrolled in the University of Georgia in 1828, died in 1867.

Ebenezer Davis McKinley.
Residence Newnan Georgia, born Georgia 1806. His first wife was Mary A. Torrance his second wife was Ann E. Reid. He was a Lawyer. Enrolled in the University of Georgia in 1828, died in 1867.

Edward David Huguenin.
Residence Macou Georgia, His first wife was Amanda Baker, his second wife was Julia Fork. He was a Planter. Enrolled in the University of Georgia in 1828, died in 1872.

Nathaniel Green Foster.
Residence Greenboro Georgia. His first wife was Miss Saffold, his second was Miss Vincent. He was a lawyer and a Judge Superior Court, was a member of Congress and a Baptist Minister. Enrolled in the University of Georgia in 1830.

Francis Robert Goulding.
Residence Roswell Georgia, born Georgia 1810. First wife was Mary Howard, second wife was Matilda Rees. He was the inventor of the Sewing Machine. Also author of “Young Marooners” and Woodruff Stories.” He was also a Presbyterian Minster. Enrolled in the University of Georgia in 1830. He died in 1881.

Edward Mortimer Heron.
Residence Eufaula Ala., born South Caroline, 1810. First wife was Mary McNeil, second wife was Caroline Buford. He was a Physician and Planter. He was a Surgeon during the Indian war 1836. Enrolled in the University of Georgia in 1830. He died in 1901.

Joseph Billups Saffold.
Residence Montgomery Ala., born Georgia 1812. Married Frances E. Bibb. He was a lawyer and a member of the Ala. Legislators in 1835. He was a Judge of the Superior Court. He enrolled at the University of Georgia in 1831, died in 1853.

Henry Philip Thomas.
Residence Lawrenceville Georgia, born Georgia 1810. Married Ellen Burroughs, was a lawyer and member of the Legislators and State Senator. He was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Creek war of 1836. Was a Colonel of the 16th., regiment C, S. Army 1863. Killed in battle at Knoxville Tennessee. He enrolled at the University of Georgia in 1832.

Charles Goodloe McKinley.
Residence Newnan Georgia, born South Caroline 1814. Married Elizabeth J. Flournoy, his second wife was Francis C, Jackson. He was a Lawyer and Planter. He enrolled at the University of Georgia in 1834, died in 1870.

Walter Richardson Branham.
Residence Oxford Georgia, born Georgia 1814. Married Elizabeth Flournoy. He was a Methodist Minister. He enrolled at the University of Georgia in 1835.

Junlus Addison Wingfield.
Residence Eatonton Georgia, born Georgia 1814. First wife was Mary P. Moseley, second wife was Francis B. Moseley. He was a Lawyer, later a Lieutenant Colonel in the Creek war, 1836. He was a State Senator. He enrolled at the University of Georgia in 1835.

Jephth Vining Harris.
Residence Columbus Georgia, born George 1816, Married Mary O. Banks, was a Lawyer and a Planter. He was member of the Legislators and Senator. He was a Brig. General in the Mississippi Volunteer C. S. Army. He enrolled at the University of Georgia in 1836.

Timothy Matthews Furlow.
Residence Amerious Georgia, born Georgia 1814. First wife was Charlotte Lowther, second wife Margaret Holt and third wife Louisa Boring. He was a Planter and trustee of Wesleyan, Southern and Furlow Colleges. He was a State Senator and a member of the Legislators. He enrolled at the University of Georgia in 1836. He died in 1890.

Alexander Smith Atkinson.
Residence Waverly Georgia, born Georgia 1815. Married Mary A. McDonald. He was a Lawyer and Planter. He was a member of the Legislators and Senator 1840-1860. He enrolled at the University of Georgia in 1839. He died in 1894.

Thomas Summer Stevens.
Residence Clinton La., born Georgia 1820. Married Matilda J. Harden. He was a Civil Engineer and Pres. Boling Green College. Enrolled at the University of Georgia in 1840. He died in 1894.
