1. John F. Hamtramck was a Lieutenant Colonel, Commandant, in 1802, his pay was $75, dollars a month with $12, dollars a month for forage, he was allowed 6, rations a day.
2. John F. Hamtraramck, was a Cadet to be 2nd. Lieutenant, of the Corps. of Artillery, July 1, 1819.
3. John F. Hamtramck, of Missiouri to be indian agent to the Osage indians, 1826.
Thomas Hunt.
1754-1808
Thomas Hunt, was born in 1754, in Massachusetts to John Vill Hunt and Ruth Fessenden, Thomas mairred Eunice Wellington. Take note most researchers give the date as Aug. 16, however they can't decide on the year they have it any where from 1771 to 1788. records show they had 11, children but no names can be found but one and that was Henry Jackson Hunt, Thomas Hunt died on Aug. 18, 1808. Thomas became a Captain on March 4, 1791, on Feb. 18, 1793, he became a Major. As a Major in 1802, his pay was $50, dollars a month with $10, dollars a month for forage, he was allowed 4, rations a day.

The President communicated the petition of Eunice Hunt, widow of the late Thomas Hunt, colonel commandant of the first regiment United States' infantry, stating the "numberless distresses of indigence to which she is exposed, in a remote corner of the territories of the United States," and praying such relief as may to Congress be deemed proper.
Note. Under the army's new reorgaization Thomas would have been a Lieutenant Colonel.

Thomas H. Cushing, was a Major in 1802, his pay was $75, dollars per month with $16, dollars per month for forage he was allowed 12 rations a day.

Thomas Martin, of Georgia was appointed Lieutenant on Sept. 29, 1789, in 1800, he became a Captain, in 1802 was a Major with the pay of $50, dollars per month with $10, dollars a month for forage he was allowed 4, rations a day.

Thomas Pasteur.
Thomas Pasteur, North Carolina was appointed Lieutenant on Sept. 29, 1789, in 1802 he was a Captain with the pay of $40, dollars per month he was allowed 3, rations a day. In 1803, he became Major of the 2nd. regiment infantry.
Ross Bird.
Ross Bird, was commission as a Ensign on Sept. 29, 1789, became a Lieutenant in 1792, was commission as a Captain July 6, 1794, as a Captain in 1802, his pay was $40, dollars a month and was allowed 3, rations a day.
John Whistler or John Whistler Jr.
Note. Be careful of this name the records state Whistler and other times it's Whistler Jr., this could be a father and son, or maybe the same man or two men all together, as the dates and ranks don't add up.
John Whistler, of Michigan apponited Ensign in 1792, became a Lieutenant on Nov. 27, 1792, appointed Captain July 1, 1797, in 1802, was a Captain with the pay of $40, dollars per month and was allowed 3, rations a day.
John Whistler Jr., Was a Ensign, promoted to 2nd. Lieutenant of the nineteenth regiment infantry on March 30, 1813, from 2nd. Lieutenant to first Lieutenant on Nov 20, 1813 of the same Reg.
Note. John Whistler or Jr., put in a claim for lost will in the army, the address will give the info.

Charles Hyde.
Charles Hyde, was appointed Ensign in 1792, became a Lieutenant on Feb. 20, 1794, on July 16, 1798, became Captain.

Daniel Bissell, of Vermont became Captain in 1799, he was still captain in 1802, and was paid $40, dollars per month with 3, rations a day, was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel on Oct. 14, 1808.
John Michael.
John Michael, was from Pennsylvania, was a Ensign in 1792, then a Lieutenant on May 1, 1794 In 1796, Congress had a petition of John Michael, of the borough of York, in the State of Pennsylvania, was presented to the House and read, praying the he may receive an arrearage of pay and other emoluments due for his services as a matross in the Pennsylvania artillery regiment, on continental establishment, during the late war.
In 1802, he was still a Captain with a pay of $40, dollars per month and was given 3, rations a day.
Elijah Strong.
Elijah Strong, of Pennsylvania was a acting Cadet in 1793, became a Lieutenant on July6, 1794, was appointed to 1st. Lieutenant in 1800, became a Captain in 1802, with a pay $40, dollars per month with 3, rations a day. In 1808, was appointed to Major of the 7th. regiment infantry.
Submit R. Strong widow of Elijah Strong.
Mr. Morrow, of Congress presented a petition of Submit R. Strong, widow of Elijah Strong, deceased, late a Major in the Army of the United States, praying that the provisions of the act for the relief of the widows and orphans of officers and soldiers killed in the military service, may be extended to her and her children, in consequence of the services of her said husband, who died in the camp of Terre-aux-Boeuf; which was read, and ordered to be referred to a select committee.
Nicholas Rosencrantz.
Nicholas Rosencrantz, was from Pennsylvania, in 1793, became a Ensign, became a Lieutenant on July 10, 1797, in April of 1800, became a 1st. Lieutenant, he was a Captain in 1802, at the pay of $40, dollars per month with 3, rations a day.
Merriwether Lewis.
Merriwether Lewis, Was a Ensign in 1795, became a lieutenant in 1799, in 1802 was a captain with the pay of $40, dollars per month and 3, rations a day. In that same year his pay and rations were discontinued.
George W. Stall.
Note. There may have been more then one George W. Stall's watch the dates and ranks on this name.
George W. Stall, of Ohio, was a 1st. Lieutenant in 1802, his pay was $30, dollars a month with 2, rations a day. In 1813 was a Ensign, then apponited to 3rd. Lieutenant of the 19th. regiment infantry. in 1814, was a 2nd. Lieutenant to be 1st. Lieutenant on Oct. 1814, of the 17th. regiment infantry. Went from 2nd. Lieutenant to 3rd. Lieutenant on Sept. 4, 1817.
In 1858 Maria B. Stall of Cincinnati, Ohio, and widow of George W. Stall had a Bill in Congress but it went no where.
Moses Hook.
Moses Hook, of Massachusetts was a Ensign in 1799, became a 1st. Lieutenant, in 1802, his pay as a 1st. Lieutenant was $30, dollars per month with 2, rations a day.

Lieutenant, of the 13th. regement infantry, then on April 1, 1813 he became a 2nd. Lieutenant.
Joshua S. Rogers.
Note. in 1802 Joshua S. Rogers held two ranks, 1st. Lieut. & Quartermaster.
Joshua S. Rogers, of Rhode Island was a Ensign in 1799, in 1800, became a 1st. Lieutenant, in 1802, as a 1st. Lieutenant his pay was $30, per month with 2, rations a day. He also held the rank of a Quartermaster with the pay of $10, dollars per month with 6, dollars per month for forage.
Eli B. Clemson.
Eli B. Clemson, of Pennsylvania was a Ensign in 1799, in 1800, was a 2nd. Lieutenant to become 1st. Lieutenant, in 1802 as a 1st. Lieutenant his pay was $30, per month with 2 rations a day. In 1807, was promoted to Captain on March 4, 1807. On Jan. 20, 1813, became a Major. In 1816, was a Lietutenant Colonel of the 16th. regiment infantry, then promoted to be Assistant Commissary of Issues on Aug. 27, 1816.

George W. Kirkland, of New York was a Captain in 1798, in 1800, was a 2nd. Lieutenant promoted to 1st. Lieuntenant, 1802, his pay as a 1st. Lieutenant was $30, dollars per month with 2, rations a day.
James Rhea.
James Rhea, of New Jersey was a Ensign in 1798, In 1800 was a 2nd. Lieutenant to be promoted to 1st. Lieutenant, in 1802, as a 1st. Lieutenant his pay was $30, dollars per month with 2, rations a day. In 1807 was promoted to Captain.
William Swan.
Note. William Swan started out in Massachusetts but must have moved as he is recorded as being in Pennsylvania in 1813.

In April 1812, was Deputy Quartermaster, in 1813, William Swan of Pennsylvania was promotoed to Major of the 2nd. regiment infantry on Jan. 20, 1813.
Ninin Pinkney.
Ninin Pinkney, was a 1st. Lieutenant at the pay of $30, dollars per month with 2, rations a day, he was also the paymaster with the pay of $10, dollars a month with $6, for forage.
Sylvester G. Whipple.
Sylvester G. Whipple, of New Hampshire was Lieutenant in 1798, became a 1st. Lieutenant in 1801, his pay was $30, dollars per month with 2, rations a day.
William Carson.
William Carson, of Pennsylvania was a Lieutenant in 1798, became a 2nd. Lieutenant on Feb. 16, 1801, his pay was $30, dollars per month with 2, rations a day. On Jan. 20, 1808, was promoted to Captain. On Jan. 20, 1813, he was promoted from captain of the 2nd. regiment infantry to Major.
Benjamin Wallace.
Benjamin Wallace, of Pennsylvania was a Lieutenant in1798, in 1801, was a 2nd. Lieutenant, in 1802, was a 1st. Lieutenant with a pay of $30, per month with 2 rations a day. On June 18, 1809, became Captain, In 1813, was Captain of the 5th. regiment infantry then promoted to Major on April 30, of the same year.
Samuel Clinton.
Samuel Clinton, of Pennsylvania was a 2nd. Lieutenant in 1800, in 1802, was a 1st Lieutenanrt with the pay of $30, dollars with 2, rations a day.
Horatio Stark.
HoratioStark, of Virginia was a Ensign in 1798, in 1801, was a 2nd. Lieutenant, 1802, was still a 2nd. Lieutenant with the pay of $25, dollars per month with 2, rations a day. In 1803, was promoted to 1st. Lieutenant, in 1808, was promoted to Captain, On May 1, 1814, was a Major of the 33rd. regiment infantry was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.
Simon Owens.
Simon Owens, of Virginia was a Ensign in 1798, in 1800, was a 2nd. Lieutenant in the 8th. regiment infantry, In 1801 & 1802, was a 2nd. Lieutenant in the 1st. regiment infanrty with the pay of $25, dolars per month with 2, rations a day. 1804, was promoted to 1st. Lieutenant, in 1808, was promoted to Captain. On Jan. 31, 1814, was promoted to Major of the 1st. infantry.

Joseph C. Cooper, of New York was a Ensign in 1798, in 1800, was a 2nd. Lieutenant in the 12th. regiment infantry, 1801 & 1802, was a 2nd. Lieutenant in the 1st. regiment infantry at the pay of $25, dollard per month with 2 rations a day.
Robert George Barde.
Note. Be careful this could be two different men as the records have him from two different States.
Robert George Barde, of Pennsylvania was a 2nd. Lietutenant in the 10th. regiment infantry in 1800. in 1801, Robert G. Barde of South Carolina was a 2nd. Lieutenant in the 1st. infantry. In 1802, Robert G. Barde was a 2nd. Lietutenant in the 2nd. infantry then went to the 1st. infantry his pay as a 2ndLietutenant was $25, per month with 2, rations a day.
Bartholomew D. Armistead.
Bartholomew D. Armistead, of Virginia was a 2nd. Lieutenant in 1801, 1801 & 1802, was a 2nd. Lieutenant in the 4th. regiment then went to the 1st. infantry. As a 2nd. Lieutenant his pay was $25, dollars per month with 2, rations a day. In 1803, was a 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd. infantry was promoted to 1st. Lieutenant. In 1808, was a 1st. Lieutenant in the 2nd. infantry promoted to Captain. Bartholomew D. Armistead resigned on May 1, 1811.
Ambrose Whitlock.
Ambrose Withlock, of the North Western Territory was a 2nd. Lieutenant in 1801 & 1802, with the pay of $25, dollars per month with 2, rations a day. In 1807 was promoted to 1st. Lieutenant, in 1812, was promoted to Captain.
Note. In 1819, then was more info on the name of Ambrose Whitlock, may be the same man?, worked in the Districts of Terre Hunt and Crawfordville Indiana.

Mr. Harrison presented a petition of Ambrose Whitlock, late a district paymaster, in the service of the United States, stating that he was robbed, while in the discharge of his duty, of a considerable sum of public money, amounting to about 2,500 dollars, which said money he has accounted for to the United States, and praying that the same may be refunded to him.
2. Mr. Harrison presented another petition of Ambrose Whitlock, late district paymaster, in the service of the United States, praying to be allowed his pay and emoluments, during the whole time he was engaged in the settlement of his accounts at the seat of government, and in coming from and returning to his residence, in the state of Indiana; also, for compensation for fire wood used in his office.

William Whistler was a 2nd. Lieutenant in the 1st. infantry, at the pay of $25, dollars per month with 2, rations a day. In 1807, was promoted to 1st. Lieutenant, In 1813, was promoted to Captain. In 1822, William Whistler, Captain 3d Infantry, 31st December, 1812, to be Major by brevet, to rank 31st December, 1822, for ten years' faithful service in same grade. In 1834, was a Major in the 2nd. regiment infantry to be Lieutenant Colonel of the 7th. regiment infantry July 21, 1834, In 1845, was Lieutenant Colonel of the 7th. to Colonel of the 4th. regiment infantry.
Note. William Whistler wife Julia (?) Whistler had a Bill in Congress in 1868, for a pension but I couldn't find out if she got it.
John Elliot.
John Elliot, was a Surgeon mate in 1789, became a Surgeon in 1791, in 1802 was a Surgen in the 1st. regiment infantry at the pay of $45, dollars per month with $10, dollars a month for forage he was allowed 3, rations a day. In 1807, was asking Congress for compensation for his services as a Surgeon in the Revolutionary war.
John C. Wallace.
John C. Wallace, of Pennsylvania was a Surgeon Mate in 1792, in 1802, was a Surgeon Mate in the 1st. regiment infantry at the pay of $30, dollars per month with $6, dollars for forage he was allowed 2, rations a day.
