THOMPSON, ADDISON S.—Age, 18 years. Enlisted, August 30, 1861, at Rawson; mustered in as private, Co. E, August ' 31, 1861, to serve three years; captured near Chantilly, Va., March 21, 1863; paroled, March —, 1863; re-enlisted, January 1, 1864; appointed corporal, no date stated; sergeant, September 24, 1864. Commissioned second lieutenant, June 1, 1865, not mustered; mustered out with company, July 19, 1865, at Winchester, Va.  Commissioned second lieutenant, June 30, 1865, to rank from June 1,1865, vice Strait, mustered out with regiment ; not mustered.

Captured March 23, 1863, at Chantilly.  Escaped from guards the 24th., recaptured and paroled March 25, 1863.
