Slaves and Slave owners.

I know it can be hard to do research if you don’t know just the right words to put in your search box, so I have done some hunting for you, to help make it a little easier to find those names you have been looking for. All these links will take you to pages that are full of names of slave owners and the slaves themselves.

Edmond Grimsley, whose name is actually Edd, was born in 1861.

I was wondering if you could possibly help me find information on:
Andrew Adams born circa 1823
Lived Talbot County, Maryland
Married to: Caroline
I think he may have been owned by "spedden orem"
Children: Sidney, Andrew, Harriet, Charles, Isabella

In 1870, Andrew Adams was 46, his wife Caroline was 43. Their children were; Sidney age 18, Samuel age 13, Isable age 11, Andrew age 11, Harriet age 6 and Charles H. Adams age 4. The whole family were born in Maryland. Their residence was Talbot County.

Spedden Orem owned many slaves but non are named. in 1880 he was living in St Michaels, Talbot County, he was 80.

Sorry Andrew Adams was 8, not 11.
Mr. Adams was born between 1823 and 1824.

Mr. Orem, was born in 1800 and died in 1885.
