Revolutionary New Jersey Soldiers

In keeping with my theme of this web page, which is to give you as many surnames as I can so you will have a better chance in finding some kind of information on your ancestor. Here is a list of soldiers that were either wounded or killed in battle. You may wish to do a name search as there is no order to this list, I put the names down as I found them.

This is an excellent database you are maintaining. I would add a couple more from the NJ Continentals on the wounded list:

Lt. Colonel Francis Barber 3rd NJ, 1st and 2nd establishment,(wounded at Monmouth, Newtown, Yorktown), later killed by a falling tree, though not in battle.

Brigade Major, Captain in 1st NJ and A.D.C. to General Maxwell - Aaron Ogden, wounded at Elizabethtown during Sterling's raid, 1779, and again at Yorktown.

Col. Israel Shreve, 2nd NJ (1st and 2nd Establishment) wounded in leg at Brandywine.
