Cause of death, arterio sclerosis. Buried in Antrim.

 Morey, Geo. W.—Age 77. Co. A, 8 Vt. Vols. Admit. Dec. 22, 1919, died Oct. 25, 1921, while absent on furlough.

 Benson, Jefferson T.—Age 77. Co. A, 8 Vt. Vols Admit. Oct. 23, 1919, died Nov. 5, 1921. Cause of death, anemia. Buried in Amherst, N. H.

 Hempshire, Wm. H.—Age 79. Co. A, 72 Pa. Vols. Admit. June 1, 1917, died Nov. 22, 1921. Cause of death, organic disease of heart, complicated with gastritis.Buried in Portsmouth, N. H.

 Hill, Newell F.—Age 79. Co. C, 6 N. H. Vols. Admit. Nov. 8, 1921, died Feb. 12, 1922. Cause of death, arterio sclerosis. Buried in Kingston, N. H.

George Washington Collett.

Collett, George Washington, Darlington Mo.; born August 1, 1841, at Lexington, N. C.; father, John (born at Greensburg, N. C., 1800), mother, Sallie Green (born Randolph County, North Carolina). Married Frankie Winslow March 13, 1866;  children: Jane, Sophia, Anna, Eliza. Enlisted January 27,1864, at Salem, Ind., Company B, Sixteenth Indiana Infantry, First Division, Thirteenth Corps; transferred to Thirteenth Indiana Cavalry June 29, 1865; service at Richmond, Ky.,  Mansfield, La.; Nelson Hill, Ark.; shot through right leg at Richmond; shot through left thigh at Donaldsonville, La.;
discharged November 24, 1865, at Vicksburg, Miss. Settled in O’Brien County about 1882, at Primghar. Member G. A. R. Post No. 311, Ford City, Mo.; K. of P., and I. O. O. F. at Darlington, Mo.

Joseph D, Bunce

Bunce, Joseph D. Born March 17, 1840, Crawford County, Pennsylvania; father, Platt Bunce (born February 2, 1809), mother, Marietta Petit Bunce (born January 13, 1815). First married to Sarah F. Barrett; after her death, to Mary E. Gibson; children: Kenny, Cora, Bradiste, by first wife; a daughter, Vera A., was born under marriage to second wife.

 Enlisted June 11, 1861, at Pickering, N. Y., in Company B, Thirty-fifth New York Volunteer Infantry; appointed Corporal November 1, 1861; Sergeant, September 18, 1862; mustered out June 5, 1863, and re-enlisted June 30, 1863, in Company A, Twentieth New York Cavalry; discharged July  31, 1865, near Manchester, Va. Resided at Sheldon until his death, February 3, 1904. Member A. F. & A. M. His first wife and three children are buried at Sheldon, Iowa.

A, September 3, 1863, to serve three years; appointed first sergeant, date not stated;, reduce to ranks, May 19, 1865; mustered out with company, July 31, 1865, near Manchester, Va.; veteran; prior service in Co. B, Thirty-fifth New York Volunteers.

Enlisted Fox Lake, Wis.,August 15, 1862, in Company E, Twenty-ninth Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, Third Brigade,Hovey’s Division, Thirteenth Corps; battles of Champion Hill, Black River, Vicksburg, Red River Expedition, Sabine Cross Roads, Alexandria, Fort Blakely, Spanish Fort, Mobile, Ala., Shreveport, La.; served as Sergeant; discharged June 22, 1865, at Shreveport, La. Settled at Sheldon, in O’Brien County, September, 1884.Pastor First Baptist Church at Sheldon; member G. A. R. Post, twice elected commander of Grant Post G. A. R., Modesto, Cal.
