Over the years I have been asked many times to help people find the burial place of their Civil War ancestor. When I ran across this information I couldn’t pass it up, this information will be of some help to my readers.
This information was taken from the Fredericksburg National Cemetery Records, and the companies rosters of these men.

1. William Archer, Rank: Corporal, Date Enrolled: 1862/07/22, Where Enrolled, Lafayette, Indiana, Age: 19, Regiment: 20, Company: H., Discharge Date: 1864/05/12. Notes: Killed in Battle. Corporal. Occupation: Sadler, burial McCool’s farm, Virginia, later removed to Fredericksburg cemetery.
2. Samuel Andrews, Private, 155th., Pennsylvania infantry, company C., Mustered in August 22, 1862. Killed at Laurel Hill, Va., May 9, 1863; buried in Burial Grounds, the Wilderness. The Fredericksburg cemetery records state he was buried on McCool’s farm, and was later removed to Fredericksburg cemetery. Their record also state he was killed in May of 1864 and not 1863.
3. Jacob Becker, was a private & corporal of the 2nd, Michigan infantry, company H. He was from Wayne county Michigan, at the time of his enlistment he was 28, years old. He was killed on May 25, 1864, and was buried at Rix’s farm, North Anna River Virginia, and was later removed to Fredericksburg cemetery. Virginia.
4. Porter W. Baker, Sergeant, 1St., United States Sharpshooters, company C., was killed on May 13, 1863, and was buried at Douglas’s farm, Stafford county Virginia, was later removed to Fredericksburg cemetery, Virginia.
5. Horatio Carty, private, 1st., Maryland Heavy Artillery, company H., was killed on May 17, 1864, was buried at Allson’s farm, was later removed to Fredericksburg cemetery, Virginia.
6. William Coxen, Private, 62nd, Pennsylvania infantry, company H., Mustered in January 13, 1863, Killed at Wilderness, May 5, 1864; buried in Wilderness Burial grounds, later removed to Fredericksburg Cemetery.
7.Peter J. Doctsch, was a private, of the 17th., Michigan infantry, company F., he was from Detroit Michigan, at the time of his enlistment he was 21, years old. He died in March of 1864, he was buried on Beverly’s farm, Spottaylvania County Virginia, and later removed to Fredericksburg Cemetery.
8. Belteshazzar Dragoo, private, Date Enrolled: 1861/09/02, Where Enrolled: Indianapolis, Indiana, Age: 26, Regiment: 7, company F., Discharged Date: 1864/05/25, Notes: Killed at North Anna (River), VA., May 25, 1864. Buried at Mathews’s farm, North Anna River Va., was later removed to Fredericksburg Cemetery.
9. William Elliott, was a private of the 17th, Michigan infantry, company A., was from Adrian Michigan, he was 19, years old at the time of his enlistment. He died in May of 1864. He was buried on the Wilderness Battle field, Spottaylvania County Virginia, and later removed to Fredericksburg Cemetery.
10. James Fenton, was a Sergeant in the 4th., Michigan infantry, company I., was from Macomb county, Michigan, was 39, years at the time of his enlistment. He died on May 13, 1864. He was buried at Laurel Hill, Spottaylvania County Virginia, and later removed to Fredericksburg Cemetery.
11. Samuel A. Fuller, private, of the 7th., Ohio infantry, company G., was 21, at the time of enlistment, died on May 11, 1863. He was buried on Hedgman’s farm, Stafford county, Virginia, and later removed to Fredericksburg cemetery.
12. Thomas Gibson, was a private of the 14th., Indiana infantry, company H., enlisted on June 7, 1861, was killed at Spottaylvania on May 18, 1864. He was buried on Brown’s farm, Spottaylvania county Virginia. He was later removed to Fredericksburg cemetery.
13. John R. Gaston, was a private, of the 84th., Pennsylvania infantry, company I., Mustered in March 31, 1864. He died in Mat 1864, at Center Branch Hospital, Spottaylvania county, Virginia, later taken to Fredericksburg cemetery.
14. William Hunter, Private & Sergeant, 45th., Pennsylvania infantry, company E., Mustered in February 24, 1864. Killed at Wilderness, May 6, 1864; buried in Wilderness battle field, Spottaylvania county Virginia. Later remover to Fredericksburg cemetery.
15. Reuben Haldeman, Private,45th., Pennsylvania infantry, company E., Mustered in September 15, 1861. Killed at Wilderness, May 6, 1864; buried in Wilderness battle field, Spottaylvania county Virginia. Later remover to Fredericksburg cemetery.
16. George H. ( W? ) Juddy, 4th., New Jersey infantry, company C. Died in May of 1864. buried at Brown‘s farm,, Spottaylvania county Virginia. Later remover to Fredericksburg cemetery.

23. Daniel Mathews, Corporal, 86th., New York infantry, company I., Died December 25, 1862. Buried at Rowley’s farm, Stafford Va. Later removed to Fredericksburg cemetery.

25. Morton Thomas Norton, private, 1st., Pennsylvania Cavalry, company M., Mustered in August 5, 1861. Killed at Falmouth, Va., April 18, 1862. Buried at Falmouth graveyard, later removed to Fredericksburg cemetery.
